LONDON, 19 November 2019 – Consilium Strategic Communications (“Consilium”), a global leader in strategic healthcare communications and investor relations, together with Citi, Cooley and Stifel, will host its seventh Annual Healthcare Conference today in London.

This invite-only annual event brings together senior representatives from across the international healthcare and investment sectors to share their insights on the most pressing topics impacting the industry today in a series of talks and panels, alongside excellent networking opportunities.

More than 350 delegates are registered from companies across Europe and the US, as well as investment experts and business development specialists. This year’s panels will look at the evolving nature of the relationship between biotech companies and big pharma, the current economic and fundraising environment as we look ahead to next year’s US election, and insights on future trends in the healthcare industry in an increasingly digital world.

The conference is taking place at a central London location and will run from 12pm, starting with lunch, and will conclude at 5pm followed by networking drinks, sponsored by Ford Sinclair.

Biotech versus Big Pharma ‒ Who needs whom now?

We have assembled a panel that will discuss the evolving nature of the relationship between big pharma and small biotechs, especially as innovation in advanced therapies continues apace. Can biotechs build the scale needed to manage new treatment paradigms and negotiate pricing and reimbursement to bring these treatments to patients? Or is a buyout inevitable? Is big pharma nimble and innovative enough to drive such transformational science? We’ll find out more.
