Ivar has worked at Consilium since 2013, first advising clients and more recently supporting the running and growth of the business. From 2018-2020 he took some time away from Consilium to be the Chief Executive of the David Nott Foundation, a UK charity delivering specialist training to surgeons in conflict and disaster areas worldwide. There, he was responsible for implementing and delivering a practical, operational framework for all aspects of employment, risk and crisis management, finance, partnerships, product development and fundraising, in addition to supporting training courses across the Middle East, Africa and South America.

Prior to Consilium, Ivar served in the British Army for six years as an officer in the Scots Guards, deploying on operations to Afghanistan and managing a Joint Services exploratory ski-mountaineering expedition to Antarctica.
